The Masters Leaderboard

The Masters leaderboard has been shaken and stirred through the first two rounds at Augusta, with a handful of players in contention for a green jacket. Rory McIlroy had a rocky finish to his even round on Thursday, but he rallied with a 6-under 66 Friday to move into the lead. Corey Conners, Scottie Scheffler and Ludvig Aberg are all within striking distance.

Defending champion Bryson DeChambeau is in the mix as well, having shot two straight under par through his first 36 holes. But DeChambeau is no stranger to a collapse on the back nine at Augusta, so he’ll need to be careful not to fall off the wagon in the closing stages of The Masters.

Jordan Spieth famously spoke about not looking at a scoreboard during his final rounds at The Masters, and whether or not you believe him, it’s certainly an intriguing strategy. It allows him to focus solely on accomplishing his own goal, unfettered by the scoreboard.

Davis Riley teed off with a birdie on the second hole, and Patton Kizzire made bogey as the first completed scores came in. Bernhard Langer and Fred Couples are both 1-under through 11 holes, with the elder statesmen hoping to turn this Masters into a career grand slam.
